For the opportunity to quote you for your next catered event. We prepare our pigs the
“old fashion” way over a charcoal fire. We cook them long and slow at a very low
temperature to lock in juices and to improve the tenderness. Our clients continually
rave that we produce the best tasting pork they have ever experienced. Depending on
the size of the pig, many pigs cook for more than 20 hours! We have many satisfied
repeat customers. For the summer of 2011 we catered more than 110 pig roasts.
Roughly, that is about:
- 90 Pigs
- Approximately 17,000 lbs of Pulled Pork
- Served more than 7,000 satisfied guests

Grandpa’s Country Catering is a full service catering company focused on
providing quality food at an affordable price. Rick Fetrow, owner/operator of
Grandpa’s Country Catering started the business as a hobby in 2003. From
word of mouth and no advertizing, the hobby accidently grew into a full blown
incorporated catering business.
Rick is currently employed as a Senior Field Sales Consultant for Tyson Fresh
Meats since 1993. His talent is utilized for conducting seminars, teaching food
safety, teaching meat cutting techniques and food preparation. Rick routinely
works with area retailers like Giant Foods, Weis Markets, Wegman’s Markets
and Shur Fine Markets. On the food service spectrum
Rick conducts training classes with major accounts like
Sysco Food Service, Feeser Food Service, and Reinhart
Food Service. Rick has also been invited as a guest
speaker for area universities, vocational schools and
technical schools. In his free time, Rick sits on the board
of directors for the Pennsylvania Beef Council and is
chairman of Hunter’s Sharing the Harvest venison
donation program.
